Want to blog what???

by Simon Lee | Comments Off

I got things to blog about. The New Year eve countdown, how I spend my New Year day and post New Year stuffs. However, every time I wanted to type them all out, I suddenly lost the interest to continue. Maybe I was not in the mood to blog at the moment. Work schedule is unpredictable for the moment. I have lots of sleepless nights as well which is one reason why I can’t put my thought down to my blog. Sorry to all that are waiting to read what I wrote. For the mean time, I will have more videos rather than words. Maybe tomorrow I will start writing again. Cheers to all.

1st entry for 2009!!!=p

by Simon Lee | Comments Off

Wow…. gone with 2008 and now it is already 2009. And I slept till 2pm today. What a pig I am even considering the fact that I slept at 4am, I still slept for more than 8 hours. But countdown to 2009 with some of my Ushers friends was fun indeed. We had out dinner at Cafe Cartel at Marina Square before making out way out to the garden just outside the place facing The Esplanade to catch the glimpse of the fireworks. Though the place was packed with people, everyone seem to be geared up for the countdown and you can really sensed the strong atmosphere there.

By the time the fireworks started, it was just fantastic to see the display at such close range. I snap few videos of the display and uploaded them to Youtube so I can share with everyone to see. After the display is over, we just wished everyone HAPPY NEW YEAR and then went back home. Not a bad way to celebrate the new year ya? Well, here are the video links.

Experiences at Bali =) – Part 2

Day 2, 3 & 4 (110908 – 130908) – Continued
Second day of diving, we got new DMs to lead us. Well, the whole day of diving wasn’t much of fun really. We did not get to see much except some nudies and rays and perhaps some small fishes. Nothing in particularly special that we saw.

However, one of the dive was really fast. As in we were drifting non-stop due to the strong current and that dive was really bad because we did not get to see anything. Well, I saw a stone fish though but just a fast glimpse as the stong current carried us away pretty fast. Did not really have time to hover to take pictures or enjoy marine life in a relax way. Second day was not really fun as a sum.

Last day of dive, we were all expecting to see another Sun Fish because we heard other divers get to see 2 large ones. So we were evnious and really hoped that we can manage to see at least one large one for our last dive day. We search high and low, far and wide. We brave the cold water and the depth but to no avail. We saw sharks and moray eels but no Sun fish yet.

On out very last dive of the day, we went back to Crystal Bay where we first saw the Sun fish, hoping to be able to see it. Stayed below for almost 1 hour. At one point, we tought we saw it, but then it was not meant to be. Alas, we just have to be content with the one we saw on our first day. We were lucky enough to be able to see it at all. Some divers did not even get to see it. The lucky ones, get to see many of them. But the 3 days of diving was fun but tiring too.

Day 5 (14092008)
Our last day at Bali and it is our relax day as well. Some of them went drinking the night before till quite late and hence, slept till late of the day. As for me, I woke up at 6am to go to the nearby beach to take pictures of the sunrise. I have always been wanting to take picture of sunrise but can’t really do that in Singapore right? At least at Bali, I can take a 10 minutes walk to the beach from the hotel we stayed.

The sunrise view is simply breathtaking, as you can see from the pictures i have taken. Well, after that, I went back to the hotel to have breakfast before going back to my room and continue sleeping till 10am. Well, I woke up again at 1030am to get ready to go to Kuta beach for final shopping and browsing through the street for food and goodies and to get more tan of course.

Not much for me to buy though except we had a great lunch which have cheap food and nice ambient. Well, went to the factory outlet of Billabong anf Rip Curl and bought myself a boxshort. Very nice and definitely cheaper than in sg. =p… Well, after that it is last minute packing of our stuff and went for dinner before we head off to the airport.

Most people sleep in the van as we made out way to the airport. Everyone is tired including me. The queue at the airport was unbearable and long. Well, during the flight back, we slept all the way till we reached changi but not without much turbulence in between. Anyway, glad to be home but will miss Bali as well. Will want to go back there to dive again. =)
